Hand Sanitiser

Hand sanitisers were vanishing both from supermarket shelves and online portals.
After speaking to a few medical practitioners and chemical experts and by following WHO directions, we decided to make our own.
Led by Dr Anant Maringanti and HUL researchers Meenakshi Meera and Shriya Das, we stocked it in 100 ml litre plastic bottles that were easily available and hoped to share it with street vendors, drivers and with households that did not have an adequate water supply.

Working from home, the HUL team members built a wish-list. Here is a list of demands, appeals and suggestions to make the lockdown yield useful results. People were encouraged to translate and use all or any part of these, in their spheres of action and in their particular locations with relevant modifications.

Proactive Hunger Mapping

Faced with an impending hunger crisis, we had to take stock of two things: the extent and location of hunger and our capacity to deliver food to mitigate hunger. This document lays down an approach to do this.

City Playlist- Migrant in the City

Our city playlist comprises of songs which make us meet migrants our cities – sometimes through picturization through songs and movies of Hindi cinema and sometimes just through lyrics that contain emotions and feelings akin to those experienced by the ones who find themselves living and working in places other than their hometowns. How does this character speak to us? So indispensable and so forgettable at the same time?

This is by no means an exhaustive list and there are many aspects of the condition of human mobility that we have not touched upon. These playlists, we hope, will lead us to reflect on the issues we have all encountered in the current extraordinary moment.
